Note :
ولد المرحوم الحاج عمر واهروش سنة 1926 بدوار " تيحونا ءيمزيلن" نواحي مراكش، وكانت قصيدته التي تغنى فيها بقصر البديع اولى انتاجاته الفنية سنة 1960 ، في حين ان آخر تسجيلاته الغنائية تعود الى سنة 1987
قبل ان يداهمه المرض ليغيب الموت صوته الجهوري المؤثر خلال اوائل التسعينيات من القرن العشرين.
ورغم القول بارتباط ابداعاته بسنة 1960 ، وذلك طبعا على مستوى التسجيل الصوتي، فإن شهرة المرحوم واهروش انطلقت في الاصل قبل ذلك التاريخ بكثير، اي منذ ابداعه لقصيدته المعروفة " ضابيط" ، تلك القصيدة الثورية والموجهة للمستعمر الفرنسي كإدانة لتعسفاته، العامل الذي دفع بالقائد " محمد المزوضي" الى سجن واهروش ثلاثة اشهر في سجن " امينتانوت" سنة 1952.
ان قصيدة " ضابيط" تبقى نصا نقديا ساخرا من الواقع الاستعماري، مما يدخلها بامتياز ضمن " اغاني المقاومة" في سجل الاغنية المغربية ككل، وهي تصوير يجيش بغليان داخلي ضد مظاهر الحيف والظلم، حيث ان مصطلح " ضابيط" في الاصل يعود على ضريبة غير محددة السقف، يضطر الاهالي لأداءها، مع ما قد يصاحبها من تجاوزات عنيفة،فهي قصيدة مطلعها يلخص المعاناة من القوة الاستعمارية، حيث تكاثر محن الناس وتواليها

ومباشرة بعد الاستهلال بذلك التلخيص للصورة العامة من نوعية الحياة الاجتماعية السائدة في ظل السلطة الاستعمارية واذنابها،سيركز واهروش بشكل خاص على معاناة اهل البوادي من محنة ضريبة " ضابيط"، على اساس كونها أرهقت كاهل العباد ، سيما وأن " المراقب" يمارس التحايل في سجلاته، وكمثال على ذلك، يقوم بتزوير المعطيات الواقعية استجابة لمنافعه الخاصة اولا، قبل ان يكون مجرد منفذ لما يمليه عليه النسق الاستعماري..
وفقا لذلك، فإن من يمتلك ثلاث حمير تسجل في السجلات بأربع،ومن يمتلك بقرة ذات رضيع فإنها في نفس السجلات تلك تصير ثلاثا،بل، وامعانا في ممارسة سادية الاستغلال والاذلال، يضطر المواطنون للبحث عن الجرذان لتحمل في اعداد كبيرة ، ناهيك عن الكلاب، الى درجة ان كل فلاح امتلك كلبا الا وقاده نحو مكتب المراقب، ونفس الشيء سيتكرر حين ألزم الفلاحون بقيادة أبقارهم نحو الطبيب البيطري( مجرد خدعة
